Whether from experiencing them firsthand or noticing them in a loved one, memory changes can be a concern. Mozaic Senior Life's Memory Workshop provides compassionate memory loss support through engaging cognitive activities, education, and social connection.
Designed for older adults experiencing mild memory changes or early cognitive decline, our memory improvement program helps participants engage with mental activities to promote confidence and independence.
Some forgetfulness is a normal part of aging, but ongoing memory changes impacting daily life may require additional evaluation and support. Normal aging may include occasionally forgetting names, misplacing items, or taking longer to learn new information, while MCI involves drastic changes like trouble planning or problem-solving or repeating the same questions.
Early intervention can help identify underlying causes, provide access to helpful resources, and encourage participation in programs that support cognitive wellness. If memory concerns continue or become more noticeable, it's important to seek an evaluation from a healthcare provider.
Mozaic's memory program provides structured cognitive activities in a supportive small-group setting. Participants engage in exercises led by experienced professionals and receive feedback based on their participation.
The program includes:
Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where participants can stay mentally engaged while building confidence in their cognitive abilities.
Regular mental stimulation plays an important role in healthy aging. Our brain exercise program includes activities designed to encourage critical-thinking skills.
Activities include:
Activities are adapted to participants' abilities, creating opportunities for growth and learning while encouraging them to fully engage.
While no memory program can stop or reverse memory loss, regular cognitive engagement helps to maximize brain function and maintain quality of life.
Benefits of the program may include:
By combining cognitive exercises with social interaction, the Memory Workshop supports both mental and emotional wellness in a positive, encouraging environment.
The Memory Workshop is designed for older adults experiencing mild memory changes who would benefit from structured cognitive activities and social engagement.
The program may be appropriate for:
A memory program provides structured cognitive activities to help older adults stay mentally active.
Individuals experiencing mild memory changes, those diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment, and older adults looking to proactively support brain health may benefit from memory loss support.
A brain exercise program typically includes memory games, language activities, puzzles, problem-solving exercises, discussions, educational presentations, and creative activities.
Occasional forgetfulness can be a normal part of aging. However, memory changes that become frequent or begin affecting daily life should be evaluated by a healthcare provider.
Normal aging may involve occasional forgetfulness without affecting daily independence. Mild cognitive impairment causes more noticeable memory or thinking changes while individuals generally remain independent.
Although a memory training program cannot prevent dementia or reverse memory loss, regular cognitive activities help maintain critical-thinking skills.
Attendance schedules vary based on each participant's needs and program availability. Our team works with families to recommend a schedule that provides consistent cognitive engagement.
The Memory Workshop is intended for individuals experiencing mild memory changes or MCI. Those with advanced dementia or greater care needs may benefit from Mozaic's Adult Day Program or other specialized services.
Mozaic's Memory Workshop provides individualized support that helps older adults remain mentally active while encouraging confidence, independence, and meaningful social connection.
