for family members

We often hear from people who are exploring Mozaic at Home that it is “too good to be true.” We also often hear from many that they do not want to be a burden to their children. This is one of the main reasons why people decide to join our program. Or, perhaps, they do not have any children which creates a different set of factors in deciding to join our program.

Taking care of a loved one, such as a parent, can be challenging. Some can do it for a long time, some for a short period of time and some not at all. The reasons can vary – they work and do not have ample available time, live hundreds or thousands of miles away, have other family members to take care of (such as their own kids) or simply cannot handle the emotional and psychological aspect of caring for their loved one (i.e., bathing or personal hygiene). Many times, it is a combination of several of these reasons.

Mozaic at Home takes this responsibility away from the adult children or other family members which often, if not always, brings a sense of relief. Not only does the program provide and pay for the care, the family often finds comfort knowing they have a trusted partner and experienced resource with them on this journey. The Mozaic at Home team gets to know the Members early on, when things are well, so that if things start to change, we see it, put a plan in place and implement that plan to help keep our members safely at home for as long as possible. Family members often say something to the effect of “I wouldn’t have known where to start.”

For Mozaic at Home, it is what we see and do every day. Not that it is always easy and without challenges, however we are committed to our mission and work diligently to ensure our Members receive the care they need.
